For sale is a late 1800s Hobbs, Brockunier & Co celery vase. This is in the 'Dew Drop' (hobnail) pattern with ruby opalescent coloring and it is 6" tall by about 4" wide. This really is a stunning piece and it is in incredible condition - nothing at all to call out. Large hobs with plenty of opalescence...and yes, uranium inside does react to UV light. My photo of that isn't that great at all - it's definitely greener than the photo shows.
I have recently sold a very large collection of Hobbs Ruby Opalescent pieces and this celery vase might be the best of the lot - specifically regarding the coloring. This will make a proud addition to anyone's collection - should be in a museum!
