Description
Technics SL-1025 w/ EPA-A250:
An exceptionally high-quality Japanese "Golden Era" turntable!

Item Description
The Technics SL-1025, released in 1981 in Japan, is a classic “Golden Era” turntable with a stellar reputation for quality. The SL-1025 is essentially the SH-15B2 base/plinth fitted with a Technics SP-25 turntable. Like the well-known SP-10 MK2, this turntable features a rock-solid quartz phase-locked speed control, and the whole unit is built with quality and precision. With impressive technical specs, such as a wow and flutter of < 0.025% WRMS (JIS C5521), the SP-25 has achieved a phenomenal reputation in the years following its release, and its exceptional sound and outstanding build quality are commonly expressed by critics as its winning features. The SH-15B2 base features an integrated molded cabinet made of special viscoelastic rubber, offering high damping of external vibrations. Don’t miss this vintage HiFi turntable!

This SL-1025 comes with the Technics EPA-250 tonearm system, including the EPA-B500 tonearm base. The EPA-250 features a dynamic damping system, gimbal suspension support structure, and arm height adjustment via a precision 12-row helicoid mechanism. The gimbal suspension system is a 4-point support system with highly accurate pivot points and ball bearings. It allows for a high sensitivity of <7 mg in both vertical and horizontal directions. The bearing part is supported by a precision zinc die-casted base, which offers exceptional external vibration suppression.

This turntable is in Very Good condition, with some aging, including somne scratches and scuffs (see pictures). It has been tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. All settings work perfectly, and the platter rotation is stable. It is an incredible piece.
