You are bidding on an original tin metal Robby Robot, from the movie Forbidden Planet. It is made in Japan. It was purchased as a Christmas gift from J. L. Hudson in Detroit shortly after the premiere of the film. It has been in a display case in my brother's house. I have tried new D cell batteries in the leg compartments and it does not work. There is no rust or corrosion in the battery compartments(see photos). It is in very good shape. The tab on the back of the plastic dome is broken off and the small screw that held it in place is missing. There is a small dab of red paint on the round metal control on his chest.
