Issued in the early-80s it followed the general trend, started early-70s, of disposable twin blades inaugurated by Gillette GII/Trac and, after that, the Contour/Atra. 

The Pivot was the Schick answer to Contour/Atra model and the actual Gillette Contour/Vector cartridge will fit in this model too.

Handle made of metal and a hard polymer it's a window over that era and a particular kind of industrial design, where form follows function for superlative results.

Ergonomic in hand, well made, long handle perfectly balanced, all-metal head [engraved Schick lettering] it will accomplish perfect results every morning, day after day, for years to come, BNIB NOS

Carts' still exist today under several generic brands: Gillette Contour/Vector, the Personna Twin or the Dorco Twin Blade carts' just to mention a few...
