You are bidding on onedescribed business card of Pastor Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Jeschke (*10. January 1871 in Bredow near Stettin; gest. 1954 in Naumburg), the by 1903 to 1906 in Groß Rambin (West Pomerania; today: Rąbino) was a parochial vicar.


Attached are two postcards and a fragment of a letter from his wife Tony Auguste Karoline, b. Rosenstock (* 22. December 1875 in Rinteln, died. on the 21st February 1949 in Naumburg / Saale), which he did on February 21st. married in Halle in July 1903. She was a daughter of August Rosenstock (1847-1933), elementary school teacher at the Latin secondary school (Latina) in Halle and house inspector at the Royal Pedagogy of the Franke Foundations.


Addressed to the student Karl Althaus (1886-1956) in Halle, most recently a lawyer in Perleberg. Orphaned since 1894, August Rosenstock took him in as a foster son; Toni Jeschke therefore also refers to himself as his “foster sister.”


The undated business card was probably written around 1910, because the recipient's traineeship is mentioned. He is now studying in Berlin.

Excerpts: "Dear Carl! I am enclosing a handwritten greeting from the entire Jeschke family in my father's letter. We are spending our vacation in Halle again. [...] God willing, we will talk to each other as we pass through next year. This time we wish you great success in your exam. Then it says: 'Mr. Trainee lawyer!' Toni and our boys are doing well. [...] With all friendship, yours F. Jeschke."


The two postcards by Toni Jeschke are dated Great Rambin, the 6th November 1903 and 8. September 1904. The second card with the addition of her husband (signed "Fritz").


There is also a 4-page letter fragment from Toni Jeschke (the beginning is missing).
