RARE Vintage Designer Moschino 1990s Two-piece Suit and Skirt Set with Special Compass Buttons.

This especially unique skirt set is a stunning piece with an overall design theme of a compass or globe which is shown in the orange coloured geographic coordinates of longitude and latitude lines throughout both the jacket and skirt.

The three buttons on the center front are real working compasses!

Both the blazer and skirt have great structure, providing a tailored look. As one can see in the photos, the wearer's right sleeve and right side of the bodice show a full circle design when the wearer's arm is positioned down. The interior is lined with a black colored acetate material. The fabric content is 52% rayon and 48% acetate. The designer tag, which is located right under the interior collar, states "Cheap and Chic, by Moschino, made in Italy". The skirt has a zipper closure on the side. These two pieces look great styled together or separate! And, the compass buttons are undoubtedly a great conversation starter.

Both the blazer and the skirt are in good vintage condition and show no visible signs of major damage. Please make sure to view all photos prior to purchasing.

The Moschino story begins in the early 1980s, when Franco Moschino (1950–94), a freelance magazine illustrator and Gianni Versace collaborator, founded a label in Italy whose ethos was all about having fun

In 1988, long before brands had considered the concept of a spin-off, Moschino bowed its cheeky diffusion line for men and women, Moschino Cheap & Chic, during the shows in Milan. The label thrived, adding its first stores in Italy and campaigning for eco-friendly fur. Its retrospective-slash-fashion-show “X Years of Kaos” in the early 1990s benefited a children’s AIDS organization.
