Here for sale is an AWESOME Boxed Vintage 1981 Grandstand Astro Wars VFD Tabletop electronic game in Very Good (with exception to various cracks/fractures in the upper part of the screen, see last pic for example) overall cosmetic condition manufactured by Epoch and remains in perfect working order with a Extremely Bright VFD, Extremely Tight / Responsive Controls throughout, Loud Crystal Clear Sound with a Spotless battery bay & terminals and the original battery cover.

" This game console has been cleaned by myself prior to sale (as has my entire game collection) to ensure it reaches you in the cleanest possible aesthetic condition, from a good outer clean to diminish any surface dirt/grime & stains followed by a surface polish/buffing to bring out the best sheen possible. It is then finished with the display screen getting a good deep clean & polish (this does not mean it will look like new by any means, more just that the years of built up dirt/grime/grease have been diminished/partly removed and the pictures will always form a better understanding of the games condition). Many of my games have also had the entire games control system deep cleaned & serviced to ensure maximum re-playability (where applicable/possible) and improve general responsiveness. This game also comes from a Smoke and Pet free home. "
This game remains in a perfect working state has been thoroughly tested and no faults/issues whatsoever have been found/identified. Controls are extremely tight / responsive & firm, VFD is Extremely Bright (like new!) and the sound is very loud & crystal clear. Original Battery Cover is included in Good cosmetic state which closes/locks semi tightly/securely (can work itself loose!). Battery bay is absolutely spotless and the battery terminals are spotless (shiny as new!) with absolutely no prior signs of corrosion/rust applied anywhere. Item has been tested on both batteries and a Grandstand AC Adapter and found to be working perfectly as was intended.
Aesthetically the condition of the game is Very Good overall (with exception to the aforementioned display area issues) . The "Display Screen" remains in Acceptable overall cosmetic condition with various cracks/fractures in the upper part of the screen (see pics) and various other surface marks/scratches/wear applied throughout also. The Silver Hood is in Extremely Good overall cosmetic condition with some minor/lesser surface marks/scratches/abrasions applied throughout. The printing around the bevel is in Good cosmetic condition with various wear/tear/fractures applied throughout. The white lettering across the Controls section remains in Acceptable overall health with evident wear apparent throughout. Underside of the game unit is in very good cosmetic condition with a moderate amount of surface marks/scratches present throughout. There perhaps will be various other various marks/scratches etc. across the screen/casing here or there from prior usage but this is to be expected on most used vintage games of this age. Please study the pictures carefully to see the exact item you shall receive.
Item requires 4 x (C/R14) Size Batteries (which are not included in this sale) or a Suitable AC mains adapter (which is also NOT included within this sale)
IMPORTANT:- "Please make sure you use the correct AC Adapter for these games if you make a purchase. Ensure you check the Voltage & Polarity of the tip you connect is 100% right/correct before using any AC Adapter. Please "Ask me" if you are unsure or perhaps look at the AC adapters I have listed for sale, so you can purchase something suitable. If you are not certain, then I would advise to simply use batteries." Do not under any circumstances use AC Adapters from Laptops/Mobile Phones/Other Random Hardware as they will very likely damage the unit!. (Returns will not be tolerated/refunded under these circumstances as I can prove if/when this has occurred very easily)
The box is included which remains in Fair overall cosmetic condition with all flaps present in good working order. There are clear signs of surface wear/tear/puncturing present throughout the box with various wear/tear/crushing/puncturing/creasing present to various corners/edges also throughout. Also included are the Original Instructions in Very Good cosmetic condition with no tearing/writing or blotting but does exhibit various lesser surface wear/creasing apparent throughout. "Product Warranty Card" is Included in Very Good overall cosmetic condition with various lesser wear/tear/creasing applied but has no writing/tearing apparent. (Please do study the pictures very carefully!)
The Item is sold as is with no returns being offered so please do study the pictures again very carefully as they form the basis of the sale and the item pictured herein is the exact item that you shall receive. If you require more pictures sending, please do not hesitate to ask.
The item will be shipped usually within 5 working days after your payment has been received & cleared. It will be sent via Royal Mail (2nd Class) Tracked/Signed for (Under most Circumstances). The item will be sent securely packaged and tracked with a signature being required for your piece of mind. In the event that the item has been found to be "Not as Described and/or in a Faulty condition", then I shall happily accept a return and reimburse you the full item price paid but you be will expected to pay the return postage yourself. I also expect the item to come back in the exact condition it was sold to you in and that the unique tamper-proof security seal to be in place and no evidence of it being tampered with. I also expect that the unit has not been opened under any circumstances prior to the return.
This item has been opened prior to sale and serial numbers, identification numbers, model numbers, are noted down and internal pictures are also taken/recorded for proof on all items. Also invisible security marks are also in-place in particular area's for both piece of mind and to ensure that the sale/return is always accurately represented/recorded.
Please remember that eBay charges sellers 10% commission on postage in addition to the 10% that already applies on selling fees.
Additionally sellers are also charged commission at 4% for using PayPal as this is a separate company.
