This is a Westmoreland Chick Salt. The color is a hand painted Red with a black comb. It measures 2 inches tall by 2 ½ inches long. Westmoreland Glass is a very old company that went out of business in 1984. Their Chick Salts were not as striking as some of the later ones such as Boyd Glass but they were actually made to use as Salts on people’s table. If you have a Chick salt collection you need to have a few of these older Westmorelands to compare to the others. If you are a chick salt lover you may want to save “chuckmil1” in your seller’s list as I will be putting many more up for auction in the future. Shipping will be USPS Ground Advantage package.  If you need it faster please email me for a Priority Mail quote. (Please include your zip code) We do combine shipping if you win more than one of our auctions.  No Reserve!  Happy Bidding!

NOTE: It is the nature of this type of glass to have small bubbles and sometimes very small cracks caused by the molding process.  They do not affect the structural integrity or the beauty of the color. I try to point out any defects but my old eyes do not always see them.
