WWII US Army enlisted crusher cap. The cap is a private purchase dress cap made by Mid City hat Company Chicago Illinois. According to the label, it is a size 7 1/2. It has a single ply brown leather visor with brown chin, strap and brown cavalry chin strap.

The sweatband appears to be made of a pressed paper, and is torn on one side and separated near the front visor. There are four small moth holes that I have seen.

It comes with the internal spring, which can be easily removed. These hats are extremely hard to find.
