Head - about the profile Sheeepfoot, thickness 3 mm, made of Japanese stainless steel VG-10 (high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage) hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The blade is finished with a blunt oval tip, which protects the rescued person from injury. Enlarged round cutout SpyderHole 14mm (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened with the thumb even when wearing a glove. Enlargement has increased the hump of the thumb-support ramp. Corrugated ramp under the thumb on the back of the head and the Finger Choil profiled undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make the knife easier to work with. Blade lock type Back-Lock with additional protection against accidental release of the lock (notch in the lock) of the design By David Boye.

Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) serrated blade is brought out with a low flat grind (Saber Grind), enables effective cutting with considerable force. Blade Spyder consists alternately of large and two small teeth tzw. two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% over a straight blade. Ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials.

Handle - in bright color orange covered with non-slip textured enhances grip even with wet hands. Made of plastic FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon. The knife is equipped with a sturdy three-screw metal clip (left/right) that allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position tip-up (tip upwards).
