Thermo Electric Devices THP51 Peltier heatpump cooler module. It's in used but OK condition.

It's all functional, it's been given a clean and dust, and is ready to use.
I've made a nice blue foam insulating sheet for it, matching the blue anodizing of the cold plate. Blue is the new black, you know.

The unit is based on a 51 Watt Peltier cooler module. The assembly is nominally described on the label as consuming 4A at 12 Volts, ie. 48 Watts, 3W of which is the fan.
The maximum cooling capacity is about 32 Watts, maybe slightly more  ( with zero temperature difference on each side ) , falling to zero as the temperature difference increases to approx. 47C ( I think ).
Attached photo is from the spec of the THP51B, I expect it to be quite similar to the THP51.

The dimensions of the billet aluminium 'cold' plate are 45mm x 58mm , with two M4 threaded mounting holes.
The heatsink is 100mm x 100mm, the 'choc-block' terminal sticks out another 10mm on that side. Total height from top of fan to cold plate face is 60mm

Clearly, the cooler and the fan could be re-wired to be independent, so for example the fan could run continuously at 12V, with the module run at reduced / controlled voltage. Or if you're wanting to use the module for heating and cooling, you will need to supply the fan from a fixed 12V, but the Peltier module will need both positive and negative supply,  as required.  The fan is a common size, it could no doubt be replaced with a different one ( eg. a more powerful one ) if you have the skills.

It's no longer manufactured, but has near identical specifications to the later THP51B model, which you can find a datasheet for online.
RS Components have it listed, for example, part number RS 158-506, at an impressive £156 each.

Thermo Electric Devices have a website, with helpful design guides for using these modules.
