A rare transfer printed earthenware pot lid from the mid 19th century, probably Prattware. Depicts a Lion taunting a Bear King with a Rooster atop the throne. This would likely have been a lid for a hair produce made from bear grease.

Small area of discolouration and wear. Scratches, scuffs, marks. Chips to the inner rim of the lid. Crazing. Some chips to the base, general wear and discolourations. I'm not sure if this is the original pot to this lid.
