The gas sensitive material used in the MQ-2 gas sensor is tin dioxide (SnO2) with low conductivity in clean air. When there is combustible gas in the environment where the sensor is located, the conductivity of the sensor increases with the increase of combustible gas concentration in the air. Different types and concentrations of sensitive gases have different resistance values, and a simple circuit can convert the change in conductivity into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. Can be used as a gas leakage monitoring device for homes and factories, suitable for detecting liquefied gas, butane, propane, methane, alcohol, smoke, etc; The sensor is equipped with M3 fixed mounting holes and uses a wide voltage LM393 comparator.
