Chinese Paper Cuts -- Large Set (XA) 

These paper cuts are all handmade in China, where paper cutting has been a traditional folk art dating back to 105 A.D.
The pictures are carved from special, tissue-thin rice paper, then handpainted with bright Chinese ink.
They are cut out in the inside as well the edges and thus stand-out against any background.  Each motif is an unbroken, continuous piece.

These paper cuts can be used to create greeting cards, decorate photo albums, make bookmarks or design a poster.
Each set of paper cut has its own special design.

Making cards:
     Use different style / theme paper cuts to make different greeting cards: for birthday, wedding, party or a special event.

     Paper cuts do look good on plain paper (can be different colors).

Making bookmarks:
     Insert a piece of small paper cut into the lamination plastic sheet (connected 2 sheets) and laminated with heat.

     You may cut the edges and make your own design. This is a see-through bookmark as paper cuts look the same on both sides.

Framed as a picture:
     Fix the paper cuts onto papers and insert into picture frames. Or just insert the paper cuts into see-through glass or plastic frames.

Use as decorations for windows, doors or Christmas trees.

How to fix paper cuts on paper and card

With glue:

Not to apply glue directly on the paper cut

Not to lift up the paper cut when it is glued

** Keep the hands dry when touching with paper cuts

** Use non-liquid glue only

** Spread the glue even and thin on the paper or card, place the paper cut carefully on the right position and press it slightly

Without glue:

Place the paper cut on a see-through plastic sheet first, then cover it on the paper or the card. Seal the edges with glue or tape.
