SIMPLE MINDS - JOB LOT OF FOUR ORIGINAL UK LPs + BONUS 12", DETAILS BELOW

THIS LOT IS MADE UP OF FOUR ORIGINAL UK LPS BY SIMPLE MINDS (3 QUITE EARLY) PLUS A BONUS 12" EP. NOTE THAT THE "REAL TO REAL CACOPHONY" SLEEVE SHOWS STAINING TO REAR AND ALL OF THE ALBUMS HAVE A NUMBER OF MARKS, SO PLEASE BE SURE TO SEE PICTURES ALL ABOVE AND READ CONDITION REPORTS BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS. HOPEFULLY YOU WILL FIND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BELOW, BUT SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED ANY OTHER PICTURES, THEN PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH.

1) • "REAL TO REAL CACOPHONY" (Zoom Records SPART 1109, 1979 UK issue)
Housed in a blue matte textured paper sleeve, colour dyed through - not printed. The text is printed with silver ink. Plain paper inner sleeve.
The sleeve is only Fair (front) and Poor (rear), mainly due to having got wet at some stage which has resulted in the dye being stained to the rear (top right quarter). There is also storage record-shaped impression, and some creasing in the top right corner area - please see pictures above. The record is visually about G, with a few visually obvious/noticeable marks, as well as a number of light and very light/hairline surface marks to each side. Track 1 on Side 2 has a feelable V-shaped mark, which I would think would cause some ticks/clicks. Having said this, I would hope/expect it to play through okay but with some surface noise, clicks etc. here and there as well.

2) • "SONS AND FASCINATION" (Virgin Records V2207, 1981 UK issue, limited edition, plain white inner sleeve - A1/B1 matrix numbers)
The first 10,000 copies of 'Sons And Fascination' included a free LP 'Sister Feelings Call' (see below). As a thank-you to fans, 'Sons And Fascination' was sold shrinkwrapped with copies of 'Sister Feelings Call' for the price of one album. The two LP's were shrinkwrapped together, but have obviously been separated by the first owner. The sticker on the front of the sleeve of 'Sons And Fascination' identifies this release as the limited edition double LP. The albums were later separated with 'Sons And Fascination' selling at full price and 'Sister Feelings Call' selling at a budget price.
The sleeve retains its original shrinkwrap (opened) which has receeded a little and also has a small hole to the rear - as a result, it shows just minor signs of age with slight storage outer rim record-shaped impression, a very small amount of wear to exposed bottom right corner etc. - please see pictures above. When viewed under a bright halogen bulb, the record is visually G, with a lot of light/very light and hairline surface marks to each side, on the top surface of the record. Side 2 also has a couple of longer (but still light/non-feelable) surface marks and a smaller non-feelable scuff by the outer edge. I can find no deep or feelable marks or scratches, so as above, I would hope/expect it to play through okay but with maybe some surface noise, clicks etc. here and there?

3) • "SISTER FEELINGS CALL" (Virgin Records OVED 2, 1981 UK issue, came with above LP, plain white inner sleeve - A1/B1 matrix numbers)
As stated above, this album came as a limited edition double LP with "Sons And Fascination". They were later separeted and sold individually, but the sticker on the sleeve of the above LP shows that this came with the "Sons And Fasciantion" album above and is not a later release.
The unlaminated sleeve is G+/VG- with signs of age and storage but no major problems - it shows slight storage outer rim record-shaped impression, has 3 thumb/handling ripples by the side opening, about 10 small lines/crinkles by the spine, a little wear at each corner, a bit of shelfwear/rubbing to edges here and there and faint staining/brown spotting by the top. Having said all that, no major problems (no rips, tears, writing, seam splits etc). The record is visually VG (Side 1) and G+/VG- (Side 2) - as above, w
hen viewed under a bright halogen bulb, there are light/very light and hairline surface marks to each side, on the top surface of the record, with a noticeably larger number on Side 2 than on Side 1. Once again, I can find no deep or feelable marks or scratches.

4) • "ONCE UPON A TIME" (Virgin Records V2364, 1985 UK issue, printed lyric inner sleeve - A2/B1 matrix numbers suggest an early UK pressing)
Includes the singles "All The Things She Said", "Alive And Kicking" and "Sanctify Yourself". The album was available with two covers upon its original release - covers uses the back image for the front and vice versa. This one is as shown, with barcode in the top right corner (rather than the top left).
The sleeve is generally EX with only minor signs of age/storage etc. - there is a tiny amount of wear to bottom right corner, a few small lines/crinkles by the spine but nothing in the least major to worry about. Original record shop stickers in top right. Once again,
when viewed under a bright halogen bulb, there are a number of light/very light and hairline surface marks to each side, but again, I can find no deep or feelable marks or scratches, so visually I would say G+/VG-.

5) • "BALLAD OF THE STREETS" 12" - Belfast Child (Full Length Version) b/w Mandela Day, Biko (Virgin Records SMXT 3, 1989 UK issue in picture sleeve)
Housed in thin (ie spineless) picture sleeve, includes a version of Peter Gabriel's "Biko".The lead song uses the music from the Irish folk song "She Moved Through the Fair", but has completely different lyrics
.
The sleeve is about VG with storage outer rim record-shaped impression and some related wear by top and bottom, some pale 'foxing' spots dotted about to front and rear and original Woolworths price sticker to top lefta little rubbing in the bottom corners, some outer rim related lines/ripples to rear (top right and bottom left areas). The record is visually VG+ (Side A) with just a few very light & hairlines surface marks dotted around, to VG- (Side B) also with light/very light and hairline surface marks, but numerically more than on Side A.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING

1) All records comes in a sleeve - a picture cover, a company sleeve (original or, if stated, a new repro) or a plain white or black paper or card sleeve. Covers and labels are as seen in the pictures above (actual item always shown) - see below for record grading, which obviously applies to records which have been played ONLY! Visual gradings are as above.

2) I consider a surface mark or a surface scuff to be mark(s) which you can see but that are on the top surface of the record only and as such are 'non-feelable'. If you can actually feel a mark - for example, with a finger nail - then I would consider that to be a 'scratch' which would likely cause 'ticks', 'clicks' etc. during play. Any such marks will be clearly mentioned above.

3) Due to time constraints, all vinyl is visually graded under a bright halogen bulb - it is only play-graded if specifically stated.

Please see all pictures above and if you have any questions or need any more info., don't hesitate to get in touch.

VINYL GRADING

NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.

MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

*Important* - the ONLY countries I will send to by uninsured mail (for item(s)under £20) are as follows: -

If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the International Signed and/or Signed & Tracked service option at checkout - thanks!

Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is extra for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or via International Signed and/or Signed & Tracked for overseas buyers. In this case, PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE BEFORE PAYING - any incorrect payments will be refunded and reinvoiced - sorry, but no exceptions. Blame Brexit and increasingly dodgy mail services!
