A collection of sterling silver items including; a compact/powder box, a salt with blue glass liner, sugar tongs and a napkin ring. A silver six pence .500 dated 1929.

Description 


Vintage solid silver compact/powder box, Art Deco period with engine turned design. DQ powder box to hold Houbigant compact powder, original refill label inside. Box manufacturered by A.L.D the Denison Watch Case Company Ltd, (founders of the Waltham Watch Co), assayed Birmingham 1927.


Condition 


The condition is very good, please see photos. Couple of very minor dings, usual surface scratches commensurate with age and use. No damage, no monograms.Dimensions :The case is 5cm in diameter, 1.5cm in height, weighs 51g without the brass liner, total weight 61.g.

Vintage sterling silver open salt with a blue glass liner. Assayed Birmingham 1936. Makers marks for Deakin & Francis.


Condition: the salt and liner are in very good condition for age and use. There is a ding/bruise on the base of the salt.

Dimensions: the salt is 40mm in diameter, 35mm in height weighs 18g.

A wonderful collectable silver salt, by renowned silversmiths.Deakin & Francis was established in 1786 and is still in business today in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

Vintage sterling silver sugar tongs, plain design. assayed Sheffield 1930, makers marks for James Dixon & Sons.

Condition: the tongs are in very good condition, usual surface scratches commensurate with age and use.

Dimensions: 12 cm in length, weighs 29g.

A vintage sterling silver napkin ring assayed Birmingham 1929, there is a small split in the ring otherwise sound and functional. Diameter 5cm height 3cm weight 10.3g
