——Description——

My grading scale for paperbacks is Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor.

Here is what you will get in this auction:

1) K'ING KUNG-FU #1 SON OF THE FLYING TIGER by Marshall Macao, Venus Freeway Press catalog number FP-2001, cover price 95
¢, copyright 1973 but no printing history on title page.

Cover painting by comic book artist Barry Smith of Marvel Comics "Conan the Barbarian" fame, who later changed his name to Barry Windsor-Smith.

CONDITION: Good condition, right on the edge of being Very Good. The noteworthy flaws: It is hard to see in the photos above, even the one where I angled the book to catch the light, but there is a diagonal crease on the front cover that runs down through the "K'ING KUNG-FU" logo (from the top edge across to the right edge). It does not affect interior pages. There is a very small crimp at top of spine, but the spine otherwise is smooth and uncracked. Also, the name "PIERCE ASKEGREN" is stamped in black block letters inside the front cover. Comics fans may recognize Pierce's name as the writer of several Marvel paperback prose novels, as well as several comics stories for Warren. He also was my former college roommate, which is where I got this book from him!

(Note: I am also selling a copy of the second book in this series -- "King Kung Fu #2: Return of the Opium Wars" -- as a separate auction, so be sure to check it out.  If you win both auctions, shipping on the second book will be only a dollar!)

You'll love it! Any questions, just ask!

----------------Shipping Info----------------

Flat $4.99 for Media Mail shipping to any US address. International shipping will be higher, and only through eBay's Global Shipping Program.

Note: I have several other collectible paperback auctions running right now, for Oz books, Robert E. Howard books (Conan and non-Conan), and others. Each auction (no matter how many books it contains) after the auction with the highest ship price will cost you only an additional dollar shipping to add to your package. Just let me know that you are a multiple-auction winner, and I will send you a combined-shipping invoice showing the savings. (Important: Do not pay the individual invoices eBay will send as soon as each auction ends, because those will not show the shipping discount. Wait for the combined invoice to pay.)
