This 1970 proof set was issued by the Royal Mint of Great Britain.  It contains the last non-decimal coins for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  The sealed plastic case contains a half penny, a penny, a three pence, a six pence, an English shilling, a Scottish shilling, a florin, and a half crown.

 

There is some light toning on the rims of most of the coins, with toning extending beyond the rims for the copper coins (see photographs).  Plastic holder is in excellent, undamaged condition.  Inserts are in excellent condition.  Outer sleeve has some minor soiling and minor wear at the edges and corners.

 

Proof set comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.
