2 transcription discs recorded for V-Disc featuring Sidney Bechet

Discs are 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated glass, one sided, 33 1/3 rpm

The first disc contains the song "V Disc Blues".  Some of the comments written on the sleeve and disc include: U. S. Army, 12-8-43, Take A, #4-1A V-Disc Blues, 214A V Disc Blues

The second disc contains a medley of parody songs "Dear Mom / Tangerine / Nagasaki" with vocal by Ernest Meyer.  There is an introduction of the song by Sidney Bechet & Ernest Meyer.   There is a short 45 second track to begin the disc which includes an another introduction of the above song - this varies slightly and ends abruptly as the song begins.  Some of the comments written on the sleeve and disc include: #2-1A Medley Of Parodies (take -2).  Also on the disc, and most likely referring to the incomplete introduction, is written: U. S. Army, 12-8-43, take -1

The personnel, as mentioned in the introduction includes Sidney Bechet, Don Donaldson (Piano), Vic Dickenson (trombone), Wilbert Kirk (drums), Ernest Meyers (bass)

Disc are in Excellent condition with Excellent to Near Mint Sound, absolutely beautiful sound on these rare discs.  Two X's were marked on the short incomplete track, these do not effect the sound
