This is a sampler originally created in 1828 by Rachel De La Rue. The sampler is made of either linen, cotton, or canvas and features a multicolor motif.  I do NOT believe this is an original 1828 sampler.  I do believe it has some age to it.

The color is magnificent! Slight discoloration on the background, it's hard to see with a naked eye versus the camera. It does NOT take away from its beauty.

One miss stitch that I've found is in the "g" in the word, "age".
