1966 rc glider kit, Graupner Amigo II Span 2000 mm, please read the full description.

People have these kit's up for £399 on ebay! With a little tiny bit of effort, you will have.a beautiful model when built from this kit.

This is an original 58 year old Graupner kit from 1966, the classic Amigo II glider.

It's been with my Dad since the 1960's and has not been built.

This kit has been through a few house moves in it's lifetime and the kit box has shelf ware and a little battered, this is not a kit for the kit collector's but a kit to build this beautiful glider and fly it! You can even addca power pod to it for some flat field flying on a COX 049 engine.

I decanted the kit, the canopy is there but is distorted and has a crease in it, will need a new one which means carving a balsa copy and then heating a clear plastic pop bottle over the plug and you will have a nice clear new canopy instead of an almost 60 year old aged distorted one.

All the strip wood looks present, including the specially notched trailing edges pieces which is important.

It looks like almost all the wing ribs are present for the main two meter wing and the tailplane. The rudders present as well.

All major fuselage components appear present. There's a brass tube for the wing joining and the dowels are with all the strip wood.

I did note that there's at least 3 wing ribs short for one side of the main wing, but there's one each of them in the kit so it means copy the ones present so you will be cutting out of a few ribs from your 1/16th scrap balsa sheet stock.

Also a few triangular gussets for ribs to leading and trailing edge for reinforcement, I can't see them but they might expect to cut these from the left-over 1/16 balsa sheet in the kit.

The best news is the plans, the main plan shows every die-cut component needed to build this model, all wing ribs are shown full size, fuselage formers and all other supplied balsa components. So if anything has escaped from this kit (we know a few ribs that have buggered off somewhere and definitely one little die-cut sheet component has dropped out of it's sprue and gone missing but it's one of two of these part's, the other identical part is present in the second identical die-cut sheet supplied in the kit.

It's going to take the experienced builder a few minutes to replace the few missing ribs and die-cut sheet parts. So please understand you will need to replicate a few bit's to complete the build of this model. It looks 98% plus complete looking through it (there's lots of die-cut sheets for the tailplane and wing ribs thankfully).

I did see all the major components of the fuselage appear present in this kit, but might be missing the odd little item but these part's are all drawn full-size on the plans.

Complete with build guide, radio installation guide, sticker set, full size fully detailed plan, one installation plan, most die-cut components, strip wood, balsa sheeting and everything you see in the pictures.

Please study the picture's as they form part of the kit's description and condition which is for part's, spares, repairs, incomplete. It's not new or new other condition but it will build into a superb glider with a few extra components needed to be copied and cut out by the builder.
