SHELL Fuel pump canvas banner/ surround. Genuine SHELL item, ideal for collector.

Here we have an original SHELL Fuel pump canvas banner/ surround.

This has been in my collection for the past 20 years or more, I would guess it dates from the 1980's.

This Genuine SHELL item would have been placed around a fuel pump that was not in use, it is well made from bright red canvas, and would secure in place with V*lcro (can't use the trade name) pads that are in place. 

Ideal for collector, this would display well on the wall, as a surround on a pump, to cover a pump to improve it's appearance, also to cover a pump waiting for restoration.

Designed for a rectangular pump, this has not been used. The filling station this came from never had the need to put any of their pumps out of use, so it was stored but never used.

Therefore it has not been out in sunlight, has not been tainted or stained with fuel and has survived in pretty much as new condition.

The colours are nice and sharp, this was made in England, it is professionally designed with heavy duty stitching and reinforcements on each corner to hold it tightly in place.

A very unusual find for the collector of Fuel pumps and petroliana, and those with an interest in SHELL products.

It is large, measuring just over 2.9 Metres long, and would fill a good chunk of wall space if displayed on the wall.

Those with a creative flair may choose to use this as a banner along the front of a table, or a bar in the mancave.

A unique and unusual find to add to the collection.
