LUCAS G265 Vintage car lamps. Lanchester 12HP + others. Brass body, good lenses.

Here we have two LUCAS G265 lamps for the Vintage car.
These are of the type fitted to the Lanchester 12Hp, I am told.
According to research this car was the first British car to be fitted with electric lighting.

These lamps are offered in good condition, in pretty much "as found" condition.
The shells show some minor rippling, the Lucas round emblems are in place on both, as are the LUCAS King of the Road badges, which have the registered design No 498247 on them.

The mounting wing nuts, locking nuts and washers are in place on both (these are usually lost).

The reflectors are good, no obvious damage, though the silvering is jaded- this may clean up.

The glass lens in both are very good.

The lamp rims are good, showing loss of the plating, but the brass looks good.

One lamp is date coded  317. Week 3- 1917, as I understand
The other 118, week 1- 1918.

In all a sound find for the vintage car restorer, I have not attempted to polish any part of these, they are as found.
These have been with me for decades, in the hope that a suitable project would turn up. That has not happened, so now time to allow someone else to take them further.
Any questions, or a viewing are encouraged, message me.

These will be carefully packaged.

They will be sent Royal Mail tracked, in UK. For peace of mind.
World wide post, via eBay GSP, is offered.
