Up for auction is a Westerfield Models HO scale Southern Pacific B-50-9 40' Box car resin kit.

The kit number is 7362 and respresents the 1920s modernized version of the B-50-9 with single sheathed ends installed. The kit is unpainted but includes full decals. Kit include resin and plastic parts, some wire and metal grabs. Trucks and couplers are not provided.

This model represents the 1,290  B-50-9 cars built in 1913 for the CP, SP, GH&SA, H&TC, HE&WT, AE, SPdeM, PE&E and PE. These are double sheathed cars with fishbelly underframes, but upon modernizing in the 1920s they got single sheathed ends. These cars lasted iuntil 1950 but most were gone by 1942. Some saw use in MofW service into the 1960s.
