Basic description
A beautiful early 1960s 9 Carat gold Smiths Imperial presentation watch in beautiful condition and running like a train! Please study the photos and description for more on condition.

Movement and Timekeeping
This watch features a lovely 19 jewel Smiths Imperial movement that is keeping excellent time. It has recently been looked over by one of the UK's leading Smiths experts and it is running very nicely. The crown appears to be original. Judging by its condition, I suspect that this watch has not been used very much in its lifetime, and should continue to run for another 65 years if looked after!

Case and Crystal
A lovely 9 carat gold case with straight lugs. Whilst there are subtle signs of use to the case, there is no significant scratching or wear. I have chosen not to polish the case in order to give the purchaser maximum choice as some collectors do not like watches to be touched.

The case back has the following inscription: Presented to D.V. Janes by the directors of A.M.A.C. Ltd 1933-1960.

I have fitted a new crystal as the original was scratched.

Dial and Hands
Stuning champagne colour with raised arabic numerals at hour markers and minute markers around the rim. Inscribed Smiths Imperial, 19 Jewels Shockproof. There is no obvious marking or damage to the dial - it really is a beauty!

Strap
Supplied without a strap
