Rio 1926 Isotta Fraschini 8a Spyder, 1/43 Scale, Made in Italy, New Old Stock.

This is nice vintage diecast made in Italy by Rio. It features a 1926 Isotta Fraschini 8a Spyder in a 1/43 scale. I am not sure when this was produced but from what I can find online, this is probably mid-1960s to mid-1970s. Rio focused on earlier, unique automobile designs and these models are extremely well made and very detailed. While the box has been opened, the car is still in its plastic clam shell and appears to still be factory sealed with tape; the box and clam shell measure approximately 2.5 inches by 6 inches. Because it may be factory sealed, I didn’t want to break the tape seals and open it for photographing. The outer box has a fair amount of edge and corner wear, and a small edge tear in the upper right corner on the top (see picture 11). There is also an old price sticker on the left side flap. Other than that, this is a great piece!
