It doesn’t stop there with the theme though. An original 1970 camera restored as a side lamp, off grid popcorn machine, sweet bins and an amazing 1970s movie poster ceiling throughout that was lovingly and painstakingly hand made with individual posters before a protective lacquer was applied.

1970 Volkswagen Transporter T2 - Early Bay Tin Top Campervan
This vehicle has undergone a comprehensive bare metal, nut & bolt restoration. Hundreds of photos showing all the various stages of this are available.
Far too much spec to list everything, but will give as much detail as possible.
Body shell and all panels taken back to bare metal. All suspect panels replaced, and all rusty metal and previous repairs cut out and re-fabricated. Again, pics to show this.
Body refinished in probably the best and original OEM colour scheme for this year off of bus. Mustard Yellow & Pastel White.
Virtually everything has been replaced with new or fully refurbished. The engine (original spec 1600) has been fully rebuilt, and all tinware refinished or replaced. New carb, complete new exhaust and heat exchangers, all freshly serviced.
New brakes all round. New front discs, pads and calipers. New rear drums and all internals. New brake lines throughout. All new cylinders, new clutch. All new cables for accelerator, speedo, heaters etc.
All chromework has been replaced with new stainless steel items, including badge, hub caps, door handles, mirrors etc.
All shock absorbers are new, as are all bushes. The steering box is new, all gaiters and fixings are new throughout.
The original seats and door cards have been retrimmed in high quality original Mustard. The Carpets are all new. A bluetooth headunit, with a classic look has been fitted, along with new rear Sony speakers and amplifier.
The bus has been fully rewired throughout and now runs 12v
The rear camper conversion is all new, and very nicely executed. The units are all custom made in house on our CNC machine as a one off with the worktops being solid teak machines down to reduce weight. It has a rock & roll bed, with the bed cushions trimmed in a new mustard. New mustard curtains and tie backs have been made to fit.
It has a split charge system with AGM leisure battery, also fed from the large solar panels on the roof.
All new electrics in the rear with ample LED lighting in the roof and under the worktops.
230v inverter for off grid power.
The floor matches the worktops and is real teak boat deck board with black rubber strips.
All panels and under floor were soundproofed with Dodo matting throughout making a huge difference to cockpit noise
Dometic Cooker & Sink. 12v fridge/freezer.
Removable table
New metal number plates with plastic lettering, period correct.
Twin teak roof racks are fitted to the roof which also hold the assembly pins for the projector screen.
There is a CB radio fitted should you ever wish to road trip with friends or a club.
Honestly, there is so much more to look at and appreciate in person as the beauty really is in the little details on this one and viewing is highly Recommended.
Overall it wants for nothing other than to be loved and enjoyed. Possible business opportunity for drive in movies or just cool to own and entertain the family or campsite.
She has been on one trip and road tested over a good distance with no issues at all and she runs great.
