Here's the blown off top of a brass Schenkl shell dug on private land in the siege lines of Petersburg, Va. This is a great artillery item as it has all the readable information on it. It's clearly marked "J.P. Schenkl" and "Pat. Oct. 16 1861". It still has the brass anvil plug in the center. A great dated item to add to your relic collection. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible, as long as you wait for me to invoice you. Thanks for looking, and stay safe.
