Antique 19th Century Stoneware
Beer/Meade Bottle
Description:
Nic example of a 19th century stoneware beer or Meade bottle. This
example is 10” tall and measures almost 4” wide across the base. It has a brown
Albany slip glaze on the inside and an uneven tan/brown glaze on the outside.
One side of the bottle has a thicker glaze while the other side almost has a tobacco
spit looking glaze. There is one tooled ring running around the neck. There is
one small chip on the spout that goes below the glaze line around the rim. The
rest of the mouth is fairly flat and smooth. I don’t see any cracks on this
one. Please see pictures for condition!
