Also includes the medal delivery box [ correctly issued with ref: 8/36 and the return address for: The War Office - A.G.4 Medals, Droitwich, Worcs. ] and the medal entitlement certificate. Medals in GVF condition. 

WILLIAM FREDERICK HURDLE
 
Born in 1901. Baptized on 28.81901 at Melcombe Regis, Dorset. The son of Henry Arthur and Marian Louisa Hurdle of 2 Frederick Place, Melcombe Regis. His father's profession is given as Music Professor. In 1911 he is residing with his parents in Weymouth. His father's profession given as Wholesale & Retail Provisions Merchant. In 1939 he is living at the Crown Hotel in Weymouth. His occupation given as Bacon Curer ? and provisions merchant ? He is commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in the RASC on 18.5.1940. Promoted Lieutenant on 3.6.1941. Promoted T/Captain on 13.12.1942. Married Vera Elizabeth Coombe in 1946. Died Weymouth, 30.6.1963. Last address given as 53 Maiden Street, Weymouth.
