LP58014 - Morris Z Van
Promotors - "Morris"

Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, taking over a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. Models produced by the Enfield-based company became popular among collectors worldwide.

Lledo specialised in the Promotional market, making models for companies and organisations who wanted to have their own logo or livery on a model. They would also use their models to promote their own products and services, giving them to potential clients or visitors to their stand at trade fairs etc.

This model depicts the 1950 Morris Z Van, which was introduced to the "Days Gone" range in 1993, and proved a popular choice as a promotional mdel. Finished in red, this example was issued by Lledo themselves to promote the "Promotors" brand. It features an illustration of the cartoon character "Morris", who was the mascot for Junior members of the Lledo Collectors Club.

Excellent pre-owned condition, in original box. Box is excellent, with only very minor wear, but no serious rips or splits. Model itself is clean and appears to be in near-mint condition, only being taken out of the box to photograph. See photos - all photos show actual item.
