Martin 000C12-16E Gloss Natural 2015 Electro-Acoustic Classical Guitar

Here for sale we have a Martin 000C12-16E Classical Cutaway Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides, Select Hardwood neck and 20 fret Richlite fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Faux Tortoise shell, whilst the sound hole is adorned with a Bold Herringbone and Multi-Stripe design. The slotted headstock is fitted with Gold Classic tuning machines with attractive red buttons. This completes a classy and well appointed package which is stage ready thanks to the Fishman F1 Electronics with discreet and intuitive controls.

This instrument plays fantastically well, with the Low Profile neck carve sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing a responsive and smooth surface for the thumb to rest on in all registers. The nut width at 1.975" is traditional for classical guitars and ensures a highly articulate and refined playing experience. The 20" fingerboard radius adds a touch of modern convenience for chord playing whilst remaining flat enough for fingerstyle techniques. The smooth lines of the body feel very comfortable in the arms, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets, really opening up the range of the instrument. 

The voice of the Martin 000C12-16E is both warm and precise, offering a distinct sonic character that is equally at home as a solo instrument or part of an ensemble. An unpronounced yet detailed low end provides the foundation for a smooth midrange and sparkling high frequencies that colour every note played on the instrument. The Fishman F1 Analog electronics faithfully convey the tone of the instrument, ensuring that this is truly a fantastic stage partner for the classical guitarist.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The top corners show very light indentation, difficult to discern against the natural grain. Any other markings are difficult to discern. 

Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck has buffed to a gloss through regular use. Very light indentation to the rear is apparent in the early register, visible under direct lighting at certain angles. This cannot be felt under the thumb in playing position.

Body: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching to the front face is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable behind the bridge. The satin finish to the rear of the body has begun to polish to a light gloss through regular use at high contact points such as the bass side shoulder of the rear face.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with very light signs of use.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 3mm
