Elkington & Co Solid Sterling Silver 6 Piece Cruet & Pepperette Cased Set HM c1932
An antique cased set of sterling silver cruets, consisting of two hinged lidded mustard cruets and two open salt cruets all with the original blue glass liners and spoons and two pepperettes.
The set and spoons are fully hallmarked (Birmingham) for Elkington & Co. , dated c1932. With the original case, lined and marked 'Elkington & Co.' inside the lid.

Condition:
Condition associated with age. The mustard cruets are in good condition with no observed losses or damage. The mustard cruet hinged lids open and close correctly. The salt cruets are in good condition with no damage or losses. Three of the blue liners are in good condition with no losses. One blue liner has small chips (x3) to the top edge of the liner. No cracks observed to the liners. The pepperettes are in good condition with no losses or damage and the lids pull on and off correctly. The lids are secure when on the pepperettes. The spoons are in good condition. The cruets and pepperettes stand evenly on a surface. Some polishing wear to the hallmarks observed. The case has wear and some losses to the leading edges of the top and bottoms of the box. The internal base lining has damaged stains and marks. The lining inside the lid appears secure and intact. The cruets and pepperettes stand evenly on a surface. The box stands evenly on a surface, and the hinged lid opens and closes securely. Please see all the photos.
