Here we have a 1939 ( Pre- WW2) all steel bodied radio by Arvin. This radio is model 502, one of the better looking steel cabinet radios by Arvin.

Radio was stripped of all paint and when the beautiful all steel cabinet surfaced, we just couldn’t allow it to be hidden with paint once again. The cabinet was then sprayed with 3 coats of poly so it will never rust.

This is a five tube radio set that measures approx. 8 inches wide, 5 inches deep and 5 1/2 inches tall. It’s a tiny compact cutie!

The louvers and knobs where painted “Victory Red” to highlight the fabulous all steel cabinet and back panel. Dial faceplate and pointer are original, but the pointer was stripped of all paint and now showcases it’s beautiful all brass construction .

The radio dial lights up and a low hum is evident. The radio DOES NOT WORK and will need servicing.

We collect vintage radios for there artist merit and really don’t care if they work or not. ( Who needs AM when you carry a smart phone?)

Power cord is a bit stiff and may need replacing if you ever have this one repaired.

Sale is final.
