was the most prominent Military leader during the French Revolution and led
many successful campaigns. His political and military influence has and will
continue to be an important effect on European affairs. Napoleon’s life and

In 1811, prior to
the Russian campaign, an anonymous work on the life of Napoleon was published
at the height of the Confederation of the Rhine after he defeated Austria and
Russia at Austerlitz.
