The coins will be placed in the good used folder pictured; it has someone's name written on the last page, with a date of 1962.  This is the safest and secure way to ship the coins.  I may add coins to this collection and increase the price if I have the coins and image slots available.  See notes below about harsh cleaning.  Also note that many of these coins have rotated reverses ranging from a few degrees, to commonly about 5 degrees, and a few up to 10 degrees.  Might have also missed some reverse die clashes.

1917 - VG.  4-digit date, semi-original to original, obverse has the purse slime rubbed off, reverse is more original, a favorite in this collection, start the collection with a good coin.

1918 S - F.  Semi-original coin, most of the purse slime rubbed off, with a nice reverse die clash and a die crack through the date.

1920 - F-VF.  Original obverse and a harshly cleaned reverse.  Large gouge in the SW field area obverse.

1923 - VG-F.  Semi-original, most all the purse slime has been rubbed off, 3 to 4-digit date, has a reverse die clash and a cool cud to the left of her right knee, real bad ding reverse, affected half the reeded edge, and a bunch of pin pricks or something similar nearby.

1924 - F.  Harshly cleaned coin with a 4-digit date.

1925 - F.  Original coin.

1926 - F.  Original coin.

1926 D - G-VG.  Looks original or semi-original, slime has been rubbed off, old folder tarnish.

1926 S - F.  Semi-original coin with a reverse die clash, strong date block, small ding at 8 o'clock obverse, and four serious scratches obverse.

1927 - F.  Semi-original to original, slime has been rubbed off.

1927 D - G.  Coin has been gently cleaned and tarnished by an old folder.

1928 - F.  Original coin that has some tiny new scratches from being shuffled around/mishandled.

1928 D - VG-F.  Semi-original coin has the purse slime wiped off, weak reverse rim.

1928 S - VF.  Gently well cleaned coin, made all the old scratches show up, perhaps harshly cleaned too but I don't think so, gets hard to tell apart.

1929 - VF-VF+.  Vintage original folder toned coin, might be low-level XF, a favorite in the collection.

1929 D - F.  Harshly cleaned obverse, original reverse, crazy.

1929 S - F.  Gently cleaned and tarnished by an old folder, weak reverse rim, split grade type of coin, with a full reverse rim this is a VF.

1930 - XF.  Gently cleaned coin with embedded grime remaining.

1930 S - VF.  Original coin, and a great way to end with another favorite in the collection.

Notes:

The tiny scratches from harsh cleaning are usually not visible to the naked eye and mostly not visible under low and medium magnification.  It depends on the fineness of the brush, etc.  Under high quality 15X magnification, if the coin is held in the light at just the right angle and moved about, most any tiny scratches can be seen in families running in different directions.  You can even see whizzing marks at 15X.  The scanner I use is largely incapable of capturing these fine lines, and only sometimes catches the larger ones if they are running perpendicular to the light source.  This type of harsh (and gentle) cleaning is/was rampant to make coins look shinier and brighter and remove purse slime and other debris, dark toning, etc.

Revised 05/29/24:  1927 S - VG-, damaged was added.  Coin has human inflicted damage with numerous scratches at the date and a few others further up.  Reverse looks unscathed except for a little new coin-to-coin rub.  Coin has been gently cleaned and tarnished.  No rotated reverse and no reverse die clash.  Weighs 6.0 grams.  If you don't want this coin, I can remove it and lower the price $30 to where the collection started.
