VINTAGE 1940's ART DECO TIFFANY STYLE LEAD AND STAINED GLASS PENDANT LIGHT
BEAUTIFUL TIFFANY STYLE PENDANT LIGHT THAT IS MADE FROM A BUTTERSCOTCH COLOUR TYPE OF SLAG GLASS WITH YELLOWS,REDS,ORANGES IN A MARBLED EFFECT THAT IS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS.
THEY ARE A REALLY GOOD SHAPE WITH SCALLOPED OPENINGS AND THE LIGHT THAT SHINES THROUGH LOOKS SUPERB LIGHTING THE DIFFERENT COLOURS UP.
THE GLASS IS HELD WITH LEAD AND DOES HAVE A SLIGHT AMOUNT OF MOVEMENT BEING 100% LEAD AND NOT A HARD METAL LIKE MODERN MADE SHADES. THE RING AT THE TOP FOR FIXING IS MADE OF BRASS FOR STRENGTH AND SUPPORT AND THE LEAD SOLDERED TO IT.
I HAVE TWO OF THESE LISTED SEPARATELY AND BOTH HAD BEEN STORED AWAY FOR YEARS BECAUSE THEY HAD HAD THE BAKELITE AND CERAMIC BULB HOLDERS PARTLY BROKEN AWAY WHEN REMOVED BUT THEY HADN'T BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THEM AS THEY WHERE BOTH STUCK IN THE BRASS RINGS.
IT MEASURES 19 CM'S HIGH AND 20 CM'S DIAMETER AT THE BOTTOM WITH IT WEIGHING 824g.
