Over the next week or so I will be listing on eBay a number of nice fancy face woods on behalf of the estate of a fancy face collector. The collector did not try and collect every fancy face wood made but just those that appealed to him because of their scarcity or uniqueness. He found woods with ivory or faux ivory inlays to be most attractive. Colorful back weights were also deemed more desirable. He did not collect clubs that were not in very good condition and most of the clubs in his collection were restored by master club restorer John Gates of St Augustine, FL. John is often acknowledged as the finest restorer in the business and has not been doing any work for a number of years.

This item is a nicely restored fancy face wood set. Included are the 42" length Driver, 42" Brassie and 41 3/4" Spoon. Made by Wilson from very ornate Super Stroke Model. The center dot inlays are a tortoise shell looking celluloid. The multi-metal backweights are stunning. The necks are long necks with the spoon neck being your normal round shape and the driver and brassies necks being angularHaven't been hit since restoration. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shafts are the original yellow pyratone on the driver and brassie and black pyratone on the spoon. They are in good condition. The grips are the original long leather wraps, and they too are in good condition. The driver and brassie have very fancy yellow marbleized butt caps. Lots of interesting features exhibited in this set.

Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 5-pound box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
