Thrifting find. Hagen-Renaker Heidi's Goat or Gretchen figurine, in a satiny smooth matte glaze with tiny applied pastel-color flowers and leaves on the head and rear. She wears a functional brass-colored metal bell around her neck. She stands about 5" tall and is about 7" long. I understand these were made in California, and were part of the Designers Workshop series. She retains the Hagen-Renaker oval sticker on the underside of the belly. There apparently were a few variations in the Heidi's Goat style and glaze; some were glossy and some were matte, some had flowers and some didn't. But - I'm not knowledgeable about these figurines, so I hope the photos will tell you what you want to know. There are a few issues, shown in the last three photos: tiny chips on the ears, and a touched-up chip on one front hoof. There is also overall crazing in the glaze, and a black speck in the glazed surface on the underside. Please take a look at the photos, and let me know if you have any questions.
