This is an original, officially licensed program from the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, featuring the iconic Miracle Mile race between Roger Bannister and John Landy. The program is ungraded and in excellent condition, making it a rare and valuable piece of sports memorabilia.

The program includes information on all the events and athletes participating in the Games, which took place in Vancouver, Canada. This is a must-have item for any serious collector of sports memorabilia, particularly those interested in the history of track and field. Don't miss the chance to own a piece of athletic history with this 1954 British Empire & Commonwealth Games program.

The inside cover has some dark staining as a result of the July 23, 1954 volume of the Vancouver iconic pamphlet, ‘The Buzzer’… which is complete and included in this lot. Both the “Buzzer” and the Programme are in excellent condition 70 years after the event and are both included in this auction. The cover of the program reads “OFFICIAL SOUVENIR BOOK AND PROGRAMME OF EVENTS BRITISH EMPIRE AND COMMONWEALTH GAMES VANCOUVER CANADA JULY30-AUGUST 7 1954”. It is 80 pages long!

The BUZZER pamphlet is Vol.39 Vancouver, Friday, July 23, 1954 No. 8. It was published by the British Columbia Electric Railway Company Limited. It appears to be the transit information to and from the Games.

Please see pictures to see the condition of both pieces. A wonderful piece of memorabilia from one of the most iconic events in track and field history.

This auction is for both pieces… good luck!
