Author Biography

Richard Pawson has enjoyed a career that has spanned software development, journalism, product marketing, robotic engineering, and toy design. It started in January 1977 when he joined Commodore for a gap year before university, and three weeks later the company announced the world's first personal computer. He has a BSc in Engineering Science, a PhD in Computer Science, and is a part-qualified patent and trademark attorney. He lives in Henley-on-Thames where he rows occasionally, and not very well.
