Der Hochstromverstärker Proton D-1200 wurde sorgfältig mit Fokus auf Klangqualität entwickelt. Ein sehr seltener Verstärker, gebaut wie die begehrten Monoblöcke von Dynaco McIntosh, Marantz und anderen, aber verpackt in einem kompakten und leistungsstarken Paket.

Der Leistungsverstärker D1200 von Proton verfügt über ein Dynamic Power on Demand (DPD)-Schaltkreisdesign, das ihm einen außergewöhnlichen dynamischen Headroom von 7,3 dB verleiht. Das DPD-System von Proton ist für einige der höchsten Leistungsabgaben verantwortlich, die wir je bei einem Verstärker gemessen haben.

Der D1200 ist schwarz lackiert und verfügt über zwei große Leistungsmesser. Die logarithmischen Skalen der Messgeräte decken einen Bereich von einigen Milliwatt bis zu vielen hundert Watt (in 8 Ohm) ab, und die Nadeln haben eine schnelle Reaktionszeit, um Programmspitzen zu folgen. Auf der Rückseite des Verstärkers befinden sich isolierte Lautsprecheranschlüsse mit Anschlussklemmen, Eingangsbuchsen und ein Stereo-/Mono-Schalter. Der D1200 ist 16 1/2 Zoll breit, 14 1/4 Zoll tief und 4 1/4 Zoll hoch und wiegt 35 Pfund.

The D1200 is finished in black and features two large power meters. The meters' logarithmic scales cover a range from a few milliwatts to many hundreds of watts (in 8 Ohms), and the needles have a fast response time to follow program peaks. On the back of the amplifier are isolated binding post speaker terminals, input jacks and a stereo/mono switch. The D1200 is 16-1/2 inches wide, 14-1/4 inches deep and 4-1/4 inches high and weighs 35 pounds.
