1960’s Bristol RELH/205 with ECW Series 2 Coach body.

Tax & MOT Exempt (HISTORIC VEHICLE TAXACTION CLASS)

For some time this charming coach had been dry stored in a barn - on a farm - in the valleys of Wales (a cat had even made it its home) that is of course until we purchased it (see barn image attached). It started straight up and drove all the way back over 100 miles without any issues whatsoever - and not even a lightbulb was out! A true testament to its reliability and durability from this old girl, and a relief to us knowing we will likely be having a problem free ownership for years to come!

This drives absolutely fantastic, the engine, the semi manual gearbox, the drivetrain, the chassis and the interior is excellent.

The exterior could do with a polish, but still presentable,

The underside has obviously been sandblasted & painted silver within its life so it is very presentable for its age.

No silly knocks or wobbles. The brakes & steering are great! All the tyres are like new.

Mechanically warrants for nothing at all. These gardener engines just run for ever don’t they “They don’t build them like they used too” as the saying goes….

The red paint on the exterior really does pop out at you in the sun. the trim could benefit from a little hand polish - but that is just my opinion. The patina really sets it off as is either way. Yet at the end of the day it’s a 60’s coach after all! Some of the rubber inserts could do with being reinstated if you or i get chance.

It’s had 2x brand new heavy duty batteries fitted, and a fuel lift pump.

The interior is excellent overall.

38x half leather trimmed passenger seats (all perfect) with 4 full sized tables - ideal for any outing. It has overhead racks (with blowers), and a useable carpeted boot.

Air operated door.

The wrap-around windows to the rear quarters are a main exterior feature - such a head turner!

The general public & bystanders can’t keep their eyes off this coach.

A modern working CD/Radio with hidden speakers has been installed, so perfect for that longer day trip entertainment.

And it also has a Tacho if you’re going to use it on PSV work.

We still tend to do afew little trips out here n there with it so I know she will start up and go anytime your ready?

BLMC, New to Western National as number 2385 on 01 March1969 it operated for many a year up & down the United Kingdom in various stages. A lot of its most popular locations are still on the destination boards which can be swiftly changed over at anytime should you wish.

In 1976 the coach was lucky to survive the Bournemouth coach station fire, and was rebuilt afterwards, and was then withdrawn from service in 1981.

Sold on in 1982, The coach passed on to its first private operator, and the preservationist owners came later on (hence the reason it’s in good shape). The coach lost its Royal Blue livery for this Midland Red livery many years ago now, and has remained in this striking livery ever since.

Just to be clear, this is the only 1 with this livery!
