This calf rennet is the original material that has been successfully used by cheesemakers for thousands of years. It is in liquid form and is 145IMCU/ml strength. Use at a rate of between1-2ml rennet per 5 litres of milk. 

Please note usage rates are dependent on cheese type, milk used, temperature of milk, pH, type of culture used in conjunction with the rennet and other factors, which may result in slightly different amounts required.

It is GM free and is suitable for the production of all types of cheeses. The rennet presented in a dropper bottles holding 100ml, to ensure an accurate dosing of milk and achieve consistent results when cheese making. Also available in 50ml, 500ml, 1Litre & 5 Litre sizes.

A basic soft cheese recipe will be included with any order.

*Please be aware that if you wish to use the recipe that comes with this product, you will also need a cheese culture.

It may also be used for making junket, although it will need to be diluted first because of its high strength.
