PACKAGE CONTENTS
The EEPROM / flash memory IC found on main board 756TXCCB02K030 at position U405 below the main processor's heat sink.

The IC to be purchased will contain functional firmware for Vizio M3D550KDE LED TV.


DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Medium to advanced. The memory IC requires soldering by experienced technician with quality soldering tool.


FAILURE SYMPTOMS
We have serviced hundreds of the same main boards and we have never seen a firm correlation between a failure symptom and the EEPROM as in other designs and models.

For example, in Vizio M550SV the EEPROM based on the same IC H27UAG8T2BTR) is well known to fail and cause slow TV response to commands, hanging on the Vizio splash logo etc.

Depending on which memory blocks have failed the failure symptom can be totally different - from totally dead TV to sporadic failures to image deformations or certain apps not working; we've even see HDMI ports not working because of a defective EEPROM, but this is something fairly unlikely - HDMI loss is usually NOT caused by EEPROM (but still could be!).

The bottom line is that unless you can test the EEPROM on a good working board you can't know if it is bad; when in doubt we do just that and we have YouTube videos showing how to do it.

Coppell TV Repair LLC does not guarantee that this component/kit will resolve the problems with your TV. We can't even provide you with a simple test to identify if the EEPROM on your board needs is good or bad. When in doubt we take an EEPRROM out and test it as shown on the video below.

We do guarantee, however, that the EEPROM was tested in a live set as shown and is in good working order.

By proceeding with this order you agree to take sole responsibility for the outcome of your repair, whether successful or not.

Note we take back ONLY components that were never soldered on a board!

Also note that replacing an EEPROM or, for that matter, any other component on the boar automatically violates the requirement in our repair service listings for boards to not been tampered; there is a price penalty for working on such boards and we may refuse the service altogether if we deem the board damaged (or not at all if we can't tell if it was worked on)!

If you are not certain of whether you need to replace the EEPROM we strongly recommend using a repair or purchase & trade-in services for the board, be it ours or from another vendor; unless otherwise noted all our repair services do come with a standard 90 days warranty where this component comes with NO WARRANTY other than the assurance that it was tested before sending and that we'd take it back within 30 days as long as it was never soldered to a board.
