I have been using these plant pots for three years now, to grow a large variety of vegetables and flowers on my porch, in my yard, in my house, and in my greenhouses and high tunnels. They work well when watered on a schedule automatically with a clock and drip emitters, or hand watered from a hose or watering can.
The fabric pots are made of a very strong synthetic fiber material, and the seams are double machine stitched with heavy nylon thread for long life. They are easy to fill, carry, and dump out at the end of the season. They can be re-used for many years. If you keep very sharp tools from cutting or puncturing the material, they are virtually indestructible.
The advantages of using these pots instead of clay, or plastic pots is numerous:

• Air and water permeable. Oxygen can more easily get through to the plants roots. Water can enter and drain.
• Roots are air pruned. They do not grow in circles around the pot. Resulting in a healthier root system and more vigorous plant.
• Portable. Move them in and out of the sun, and into protected areas.
• Black material warms more quickly in the early part of the day.
• Difficult to over water because the excess water drains through the material. The growing medium retains only the water it can hold.
• Chemical resistant.
• Can be placed close together and still breathe.

Don't lug around plastic 5-gallon buckets that are ugly, get brittle and break from the sun, that even when stacked, take up an enormous amount of storage space.
