This is an interesting piece! This Bronze Buddha is very cool and can be used to burn incense also! This piece has Asian Writing on the front that could possibly be a signature! This is also marked Korea on the back! I tried to research what year exports from Korea went from being marked Korea to Made in Korea, but was unable to locate this information. Any information on either the Asian Characters or the Korea markings would be greatly appreciated since I love learning! This piece is a very peaceful rendition of Buddha, shown with a very apparent Third Eye! Buddha is seated, with eyes closed meditating, and is holding an open bowl on his lap. The bowl has lotus petals and right in the front are the 3 Asian Characters that could be a signature or maker 's mark. Right in front of this is an additional piece of Bronze that curves up with a Lotus on the front-possibly to hold the incense?! The bowl does appear to have been used to burn incense in the past! The Buddha is wearing robes and is sitting cross-legged on an attached bronze base! This base is footed, with 4 feet supporting the base, all marked with flowers or possibly fruit. The statue is hollowed out on the inside, but is still extremely heavy! The entire piece is covered in a beautiful patina, which is another reason I believe this is an Antique Piece! I could not locate any damage, breaks, or repairs! This is in great condition for it's age! The whole statue measures about 4 1/4 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and is about 3 inches thick!
