- Delivery is a one man kerbside delivery: please make sure you have enough people available to accept delivery. We can provide weights of your order on request. Our Transport partner specialises in delicate/fragile items, as such we do not add any packaging apart from shrink warp.
- Do not book any trades people until you have the stairs on site and have inspected them for shortages/damages
- We take great care to ensure your staircase leaves our factory in perfect condition and complete, please ensure you inspect the stairs for damage and shortages before signing for them, our drivers will be happy to assist with this, any shortages must be reported as once signed for it's not always possible to tell if any damage or shortages occurred after delivery.
- "Part Assembled" trunks containing two or more treads will be assembled, winders & posts will come loose for delivery purposes.
- "Flat Pack" Staircases are sent completely flat pack.
- Once your confirmation document is signed off, we will manufacture your stairs, any changes after this document is signed will incur an admin fee/cost of any works completed on the stairs.
- It's extremely difficult to fit posts onto the staircase after it is manufactured, we strongly recommend ordering the staircase with the posts in the location(s) you require them.
- Once we receive your order, we will send an order confirmation document for you to check and sign off, we will not manufacture the stairs until this is done.
- We will arrange a delivery date with you once the stairs are signed off. If we are unable to arrange delivery or collection of your staircase due to you not being able to take delivery within 6 months of its completion date then we reserve the right to dispose of it; you will still be liable for the full cost of the staircase in this circumstance.
- Stairs should be stored in a dry location as high moisture content can cause the timber to swell making them difficult to fit.
- Once installed, timber should be treated (i.e. varnished or similar) as soon as possible. Wet plaster may permanently mark the timber if it comes into contact.
- With the exception of exposed back/open riser stairs, the stairs will need to be under drawn (underside of stairs covered), as redwood wedges and glue blocks are used to construct the stairs.
