LeRoy Neiman, the Internationally Renowned Artist and life long New York City resident stated when he signed the back of this framed piece in 1996 that he believed The Reverend Al Sharpton could be New York Cities future Mayor.

Time will tell after the next election, but this is a dazzling piece.  As you may know, the Reverend Sharpton is now a daily MSNBC Televison Host.

This mixed media original drawing captures the essence of this well known civil rights activist and possible future mayor.

It was purchased at a gallery function with LeRoy Neiman as the Guest of Honor at Bowles Gallery on Beach Street in San Francisco and custom framed at their facility.

This item is for sale on other venues and therefore the auction may end early if the Buy it Now price is reached.

Sadly, Leroy Neiman passed away on 20 June 2012,  just two weeks after his new book, a memoir entitled, “All Told: My Art and Life Among Athletes, Playboys, Bunnies and Provocateurs,” was published and is availabe on Amazon.
