How does a dog diaper work?  Diapers are panties for pets and designed so they can walk, run, play and sleep while wearing diaper. Diapers are made with the highest loft padding available on the market. For added protection, add half of a maxi pad to inside of diaper. When she is wet or pad is soiled, toss out pad and add another. Will save you from washing and drying diaper each time she is wet.

What happens if my dog poops while wearing the diaper?  Our diapers have large tail holes. To prevent infection and a big mess, poop should fall out, not down into diaper.

How do I measure my pet?  Wrap cloth measuring tape around her waist, tape should lay flat all the way around her body and against her fur.  For an accurate measurement, use a cloth measuring tape.  If you don't have a cloth measuring tape, use a ribbon and hold up to a metal tape or yardstick.  Size is determined by waist size and weight. Do you add plastic liners or inserts to bands?  No.  Adding plastic to diapers will not help with absorbency.  Plastic will hold the urine against the skin which may cause rash, infection or hot spots. 

Do you add elastic to bands?  No. Elastic can pinch, pull or bind the fur and tender skin. If diaper fits properly, there is no need for elastic.

What about a pocket or pouch to hold pad? We want your pet clean and comfortable.  A pocket or pouch will get wet each and every time your pet wets.  Do you want to wash and dry band every time he wets?  

Are diapers machine washable?  Yes.  Close velcro and wash in cold water.  Line or tumble dry on low.  Prewashed fabric, but we recommend adding a Shout color catcher to avoid any dyes running, especially with red fabrics. 

Will padding shift or bunch up?  No. We double stitch our diapers which prevents shifting and bunching during wash.

Will the Velcro™ stay closed?  We spend the extra for heavy duty Velcro™ which is much stronger than Velcro™ sold at local fabric stores. If diaper fit properly, Velcro™ will stay closed.

Any other fabrics available?  Yes, we have many fabrics available.   In addition, we offer specialty fabrics and flannel.  To pick your fabric, please visit our eBay store and click on 'pick your fabric.'  Please remember 'pick your fabric' diapers are not made and can take up to 5 business days to make.  If you need an emergency diaper, please purchase from one of our ready made listings.
